Another successful ACC event. This time it was in beautiful Snowbird, Utah. If you’re not familiar with the ACC conference, it’s a great conference to really connect with the thought leaders in the cytogenetic community. The conference was highlighted by a few key activities:

  • Alka Chaubey from PerkinElmer provided a wonderful presentation outlining her experience using our NxClinical software to get CNV data from NGS. Based on a poll conducted at the conference, many people recognize the industry is to moving to NGS but don’t feel adequately prepared. As such, Alka’s presentation prompted a lot of great discussion.
  • Stuart Schwartz of LabCorp was acknowledged for his many contributions to the cytogenetic community.
  • We also did a joint poster with Dr. Gordana Raca from Children's Hospital Los Angeles which talked about the feasibility of integrated testing for sequence and structural variants in the clinical setting. (Pictured below)
  • There were also many opportunities to socialize outside of the conference, such as rafting, fishing, and hiking. The capstone was the evening reception and dance party at the peak summit which showcased the incredible views of Salt Lake City, UT.

All in all, it was a terrific event and highly recommended to attend in the future!
